| Resumen en inglés | The article analyzes the adhesion of the youth to religious groups and their forms of social action, in the Weberian molds, in contemporary times. Taking as ar efere nce the Cathol ic-cha rismat ic youth groups in the univer sities ,t he articl e seeks to understand: the functional dynamics of these charismatic youth groups;the gen era la sp ect so ft he soc ial act ion of the se you ng peo ple in the ir are as of ope rat ion ;a nd the cha rac ter ist ics of the gro ups ope rat ing in the cit yo fG oi âni a, mai nly in UFG .T he fai thf ul ana lyz ed are the par tic ipa nts of Cat hol ic you th gro ups of the age group from 18 to 30 years, with predominant attention to those attending the activities directed to youth of the universities. The participants of the University Prayer Groups have non-conventional forms of collective action, configuring themselves as an ew modality of social practices in the interior of the student life that require the attention of the studies on youth.
