| Resumen en español | En los últimos años, la creación de redes sociocientíficas ha sido la norma, debido al gran impulso que puede significar agruparse y desarrollar actividades en conjunto para el logro de un fin común. En 2020 se creó la red WeEditors.org que nació de la iniciativa de tres editores de revistas científicas que querían conforman un grupo en donde se apostara por la profesionalización y se impulsaran a las revistas iberoamericanas, partiendo de la idea de que haciendo un grupo en donde convergieran revistas experimentadas y revistas nuevas, pudiera servir para transferir conocimientos y lograr en suma el mejoramiento de los procesos en la búsqueda de un posicionamiento de la ciencia latinoamericana. El objetivo de este artículo es caracterizar las revistas de la red WeEditors.org para el trazado de estrategias en pos del fortalecimiento y avance de dicha red. Se realizó un estudio descriptivo observacional durante el periodo comprendido entre los meses de mayo-junio de 2022, como fuente primaria fue empleada la base de datos Excel que forma parte del registro de dicha red, la cual contaba con un total de 98 revistas (N = 98). La realización de este estudio recopiló información interesante y suficiente para el diseño e implementación de actividades futuras a desarrollar sobre capacitaciones prácticas, implementación de publicación continua, de Ciencia Abierta, empleo de taxonomía CRediT y de código ORCID. La sistematización de este tipo de estudios de caracterización es vital para el trazado de las estrategias pertinentes y realizar las comparaciones para el análisis de la evolución de la red. | Resumen en inglés | In recent years, the creation of socio-scientific networks has been the norm, due to the great impulse that grouping together and developing activities together to achieve a common goal can mean. In 2020, the WeEditors.org network was created, which was born from the initiative of three editors of scientific journals who wanted to form a group where they bet on professionalization and promote Ibero-American journals, based on the idea that by making a group in where experienced journals and new journals converge, it could serve to transfer knowledge and achieve, in short, the improvement of processes in the search for a better positioning of Latin American science. The objective of this article is to characterize the journals of the WeEditors.org network for the drawing up of strategies in pursuit of the strengthening and advancement of the network. An observational descriptive study was carried out during the period between the months of May-June 2022, as the primary source the Excel database was used, which is part of the registry of the network, which had a total of 98 journals (N = 98) at that time. The realization of this study collected interesting and sufficient information for the design and implementation of future activities to be developed on practical training, implementation of continuous publication, Open Science, use of CRediT taxonomy and ORCID code. The systematization of this type of characterization study is vital for drawing up the relevant strategies and making the comparisons for the analysis of the evolution of the network.
