Resumen en español | La investigación tiene como propósito fundamental presentar un programa innovador de "Educación Ambiental", para la población Añú, en la I y II Etapa de Educación Básica, en la Laguna de Sinamaica. El marco teórico se apoya en tres ámbitos: 1) geográfico, 2) ambiental y 3) educativo. Lo geográfico se aborda desde lo geohistórico, que le imprime carácter social. A través de lo ambiental, se estudia la acción de los grupos humanos para mejorar la calidad de vida. Para lo educativo, se sustenta en el Currículo Básico Nacional. Lo metodológico, se orienta según la corriente etnográfica ya que favorece el estudio del comportamiento humano. Se organizó en tres etapas: a) diagnóstico socio - ambiental, b) análisis de resultados y c) diseño del programa innovador de "Educación Ambiental". Resumen en inglés | The purpose of this research is to present an innovative program for "Environmental Education" for the Añú population in the Ist and 2nd Stages of Basic Education in the Sinamaica Lagoon. The theoretical framework is presented through three aspects: 1) the geographical situation, 2) the environmental situation and 3) the educational situation. The geographical situation is approached from the geo-historical aspects which form social character. The environmental situation studies the actions of human groups to improve quality of life. The educational situation is based on the Basic National Curriculum. The methodology is inspired in the ethnographic aspects that favor the study of human behavior. The study was organized in three stages: a) the diagnostic socialenvironmental stage, b) the analysis of results, and c) the design of an innovative program for environmental education.
