| Resumen en español | el presente artículo tiene como objetivo analizar las reseñas que se publicaron en el periódico Correo Literario, las cuales representaron criterios editoriales de los nuevos sellos que emergieron en la década del cuarenta. Las editoriales buscaban interpelar al nuevo público lector que gracias al proceso de escolarización continua llegaba al ámbito del libro. Se analizan las reseñas que escribió Gregorio Weinberg, que también firmó con el seudónimo de Héctor Pacheco Pringles, porque en ellas estableció horizontes de expectativas sobre el trabajo editorial, tanto cuando ofició como reseñador como en su papel de editor en Lautaro. La valoración positiva de las editoriales que incorporaban prólogos, advertencias y notas eruditas para acompañar a nuevos lectores, se contraponía con las editoriales que publicaban sin ningún cuidado el texto. Las reseñas sirvieron para reponer los criterios editoriales ante la ausencia de un archivo del sello Lautaro y de sus colaboradores. |
| Resumen en inglés | The objective of this article is to analyze how the reviews published in the newspaper Correo Literario represented the editorial criteria of the new publishers that emerged in the forties. The publishers sought to appeal to the new reading public that, thanks to the process of continuous schooling, reached the world of books. We delved into the reviews written by Gregorio Weinberg, who also signed with his pseudonym Héctor Pacheco Pringles, because in them he established horizons of expectations about the editorial work, both when he officiated as a reviewer and in his role as editor in Lautaro. The positive evaluation of publishers who incorporated prologues, warnings and erudite notes to accompany new readers, was contrasted with publishers who published without any care for the text. The reviews served to reinstate editorial criteria in the absence of an archive of the Lautaro imprint and its collaborators. |
