| Resumen en español | El desarrollo fluvial es uno de los aspectos que está en boca de todos cuando de apuestas hacia el desarrollo logístico del país se trata. Desaprovechado por años, el transporte fluvial permite alta capacidad de carga, es económico, su impacto ambiental es bajo y tiene gran capacidad de integración multimodal. Es por ello que este artículo presenta una evaluación del desarrollo en infraestructura que ha tenido el corredor logístico del Río Magdalena en los últimos 18 años, empezando en el año 2000, recorriendo las propuestas que se han hecho para incentivar y fortalecer el desarrollo de operaciones logísticas efectuadas a lo largo del río. El ejercicio metodológico se provee, en primera instancia, de una descripción sobre la inversión en desarrollo e infraestructura para los puertos del corredor logístico objeto de estudio, entre ellos el de Puerto Salgar en el departamento de Cundinamarca, y la salida del afluente en el puerto de Barranquilla. Posterior a esto, se hace un recorrido de la operación actual en el corredor, y de los corredores que se encuentran en procesos de estudio por parte de entidades gubernamentales para su próxima intervención de acuerdo con las restricciones propias que presenta el afluente. Luego de la exposición en infraestructura se presentará una descripción de los planes de inversión, desarrollo e implementación sobre los planes, para después concluir presentando un planteamiento general de la situación del río, que permita empezar a contemplar elementos sobre el desarrollo del corredor a futuro |
| Resumen en inglés | The fluvial development is one of the critical aspects that at present is analyzed about the logistic development of the country. Wasted per years, the fluvial transportation is a way of transport of high capacity of freight, economic, of low environmental impact and with high capacity of multimodal integration. This is why, this article presents an evaluation of the development in infrastructure that this broker has had throughout last 15 years, starting in the year 2000 and covering the proposals that have been done to encourage and to strengthen the development of logistic operations that develops along the river. As methodological exercise is provided in the first instance a description on the investment in development and infrastructure that have come developing in the ports understood between Puerto Salgar port in Cundinamarca and the exit of the tributary in Barranquilla port, later its presented a description of the operation is realized in the broker at present, and those that are in study processes for its next intervention in the same one in accordance with the proper restrictions that presents the tributary. Later to the exhibition in infrastructure there will present as a short description of investment plans, development and implementation of them, the conclusion present an approach of the situation of the river in which to begin to contemplate if it is desirable to achieve the development of the broker to future |
