| Resumen en español | Como parte importante de los estudios culturales y sin perder su riqueza literaria y especificidad estética, la literatura es un medio a través del cual podemos reflexionar y explicar temas que aluden a la condición humana y a las formas de ser en el mundo. Así, desde un suceso ficcional, es posible examinar a personajes literarios y reconocer en ellos aspectos de nuestra realidad como valores, emociones, sentimientos y roles sociales, todos ellos construidos de acuerdo a determinados preceptos culturales. En este trabajo realizaremos una lectura analítica del cuento “Tina Reyes” de la escritora mexicana Amparo Dávila. Por medio del modelo semiótico propuesto por Julia Kristeva, y utilizando la categoría analítica de género, reflexionaremos sobre cómo se configura la identidad y la subjetividad del personaje femenino Tina Reyes, inserto en una historia ficcional de mediados del siglo xx, bajo un sistema patriarcal. El propósito de este artículo es problematizar cómo opera la transformación del ser de Tina Reyes respecto a su relación con Rosa y Juan Arroyo y cómo ella trastoca el orden social simbólico a partir de la sujeción de los mecanismos de poder que la invaden dentro de su cotidianidad. En este mundo representado por Amparo Dávila ¿qué importancia adquiere la configuración de un sujeto femenino abyecto a mediados del siglo xx? ¿De qué recursos estéticos se apropia la escritora para configurar a un personaje femenino que trastoca el orden social patriarcal? Estos son algunos de los cuestionamientos sobre los cuales reflexionaremos en este artículo |
| Resumen en inglés | As an important part of cultural studies and furthermore to its literary richness and aesthetic specificity, literature is a mean to reflect upon and explain topics pertaining to the human condition and the state of being in the world. Thus, from a fictional event, it is possible to analyze the characters and perceive in them aspects of the world’s reality such as values, emotions, feelings and social roles which are based upon established cultural principles. This project involves an analytical reading of Amparo Dávila’s “Tina Reyes”. Applying Julia Kristeva’s semiotic model and using the gender analytic category we’ll reflect on the configuration of the identity and subjectivity of the female character Tina Reyes as it appears in the fictional short story written in the middle of the xx century under a patriarchal system. The purpose of the current project is to problematize the transformation of being undergone by Tina Reyes as she interacts with Rosa and Juan Arroyo, and how she disrupts the social order from the binding mechanisms of power which act upon her quotidian existence. In the world represented by Amparo Dávila, what is the relevance of the configuration of an abject female subject in the middle of the xx century? Which aesthetics resources are adopted by the author to construct a female character that disrupts the patriarchal social order?
