| Resumen en inglés | This study aims to analyze how Neurotic Mechanisms are present in loving relations under the lenses of Gestalt therapy, as in the book The Gestalt Approach and Eye Witness to Therapy, by Perls (1988). Far beyond just appreciating the mechanisms bonus and onus, this study intend to describe those resistances and open possibilities of clinical interventions. It was concluded that, even being a neurotic defense, those mechanisms can also be allies, not only villains. It is not meant to fight against those mechanisms, but identify them and help our patients to do the same, helping them get in touch with the problem, become conscious of it, analyze what is productive or not in this way of being in a relationship. Believing that human being is always on mutation, give our patients the opportunity to realize other ways of having a relationship with the beloved. Our purpose is to analyze how neurotic mechanisms operate on people, and how and how much they are effectively used in their loving relations. That means, the proposed lens is the lens of the loving relation, because it is possible to have relations with others whom have no relations with us. And there is also no intention to find who is guilty in the relationship, since one can make use of one or more of the mechanisms because the other favors it in some way. | Resumen en portugués | Este trabalho analisa, sob a lente da Gestalt-Terapia, como os Mecanismos Neuróticos colocados por Perls em seu livro ―A Abordagem Gestáltica e Testemunha Ocular da Terapia‖ (1988) estão presentes nas relações amorosas. Procura descrever essas resistências e sugere possibilidades de intervenções clínicas. Não vai contra esses mecanismos, mas defende que possamos identificá-los e ajudar nossos clientes a fazer o mesmo, os fazendo entrar em contato, se conscientizar, analisando o que é produtivo ou não nesta forma de estar na relação. Dar a chance de descobrir outras formas de relação com o ser amado. Analisa como estes mecanismos funcionam na pessoa e o quanto e como são utilizados em suas relações amorosas. Ou seja, a lente proposta é a lente da relação amorosa. Não procura culpados na relação, pois se um faz uso de um ou mais dos mecanismos é porque o outro favorece de algum jeito. Conclui que, mesmo sendo uma defesa neurótica, esses mecanismos podem igualmente ser aliados e não apenas vilões. O olhar deste trabalho é um olhar do todo. E o todo, neste caso, é a relação amorosa |
