| Resumen en español | Este artículo estudia la actividad causal del motor inmóvil de Aris- tóteles. El autor trata de defender la causalidad e ficiente de Dios (el motor inmóvil) pero salvando simultáneamente su relevancia teleológica. Si el rasgo divino principal es su carácter de “pensamiento de pensamiento”, entonces su influencia no debe ser estudiada atendiendo sólo a que mueva como “deseado” sino también a que lo haga en tanto que “pensado”. Se presentan algunos nuevos textos que justifican una interpretación eficiente de la acción divina pero sobre todo se pretende argumentar en base a planteamiento s filosóficos generales establecidos por Aristóteles |
| Resumen en inglés | This paper aims at the causal activity of the unm oved mover of Aristo- tle. The author affirms both the efficient causality of God (the unmoved mover) and his teleological role. If, according to Aristotle, the main divine character is ‘thinking on thinking’, then his influence ought no t to be analysed bearing in mind that he not only moves as it is “desired” by him, but also as it is “thought”. We introduce some new texts in order to argue for an efficient causal interpretation of the divine action, but above all we intend to present arguments based upon many general philosophical arguments to support final causality as purported by Aristotle himself |
