Resumen en inglés | Learners with intellectual disabilities are students integrated into the country's educational system, where they receive knowledge related to the subjects taught at the primary level, with curriculum adaptations. These subjects they receive will provide them with knowledge that will assist them in their future lives. However, it is also necessary to provide knowledge about life skills that can cater to the interests of these learners and promote their self-empowerment. This is accomplished by employing a system of activities within the mathematics subject. The research being conducted addresses the topic of life skills preparation for learners with intellectual disabilities through the mathematics subject, with the aim of proposing an activity system for working on life skills preparation for these learners. Several methods were used in the research, including the historical-logical method to illustrate the development of the definition of intellectual disability. Classroom observations were also carried out to ascertain the learners' motivation towards the mathematics subject, as well as the teacher's connection of the subject to life skills preparation. Deficiencies in these aspects were evident, as the learners lacked motivation for the topic due to its lack of relevance to their daily lives. Additionally, the teacher struggled to establish a connection between the subject matter and the proposed theme, with limited use of resources. Our intention is to contribute to the learners' preparation through this proposal. |
Abstract: Learners with intellectual disabilities are students integrated into the country's educational system, where they receive knowledge related to the subjects taught at the primary level, with curriculum adaptations.
