| Resumen en inglés | In this text we will approach four textual representations about a human man named Cain. First, we will see Cain in Judeo-Christian sacred literature; secondly, the Cain of the biblical interpretation of Maria Clara Bingemer, thirdly, Cain in the brazilian chronicity of Luís Fernando Veríssimo, and fourth, Cain of the Portuguese novelist José Saramago. Two biblical-theological texts, as well as two literary texts, one Brazilian, the other Portuguese. Our objective is to interpret the portrait of an imaginary about violence and its influences in the construction of power relations at the socio-religious-cultural level of humanity. We will investigate the paradox of expressions of violence in the sacred texts of the Judeo-Christian religion and their interrelations in the literary environment, this intertextuality can help us to think about the sacred, ethics, justice, peace and human alterities |
| Resumen en portugués | Neste texto abordaremos quatro representações textuais sobre um homem humano chamado Caim. Em primeiro lugar, veremos o Caim na literatura sagrada1 Judaico-Cristã, em segundo lugar, o Caim da interpretação bíblica de Maria Clara Bingemer, em terceiro lugar, o Caim na cronicidade brasileira de Luís Fernando Veríssimo, e em quarto lugar, o Caim do romancista português José Saramago. Dois textos bíblico-teológicos, assim como dois textos literários, um brasileiro, outro português. Nosso objetivo é interpretar o retrato de um imaginário sobre a violência e suas influências na construção das relações de poder em nível sócio-religioso-cultural da humanidade. Investigaremos o paradoxo das expressões de violência nos textos sagrados da religião judaico-cristã e suas interrelações na ambiência literária, esta intertextualidade pode ajudar-nos a pensar sobre o sagrado, a ética, a justiça, paz e as alteridades humanas |
