| Resumen en español | El presente estudio tuvo como finalidad abordar la gestión de calidad en el aula universitaria, específicamente en el Departamento de Ciencias Básicas del Decanato de Ingeniería Civil de la Universidad Centroccidental Lisandro Alvarado. Se concibió bajo la modalidad de investigación cualitativa de tipo etnográfico con carácter interpretativo. El proceso de investigación comprendió tres fases: obtención de la información, en la cual se seleccionaron como informantes claves a un grupo de cuatro (4) docentes y tres (3) estudiantes en un muestreo intencional, se aplicaron las técnicas de la entrevista y la observación participante para registrar y categorizar las opiniones de los informantes. En la segunda fase se realizó el análisis e interpretación de la información haciendo uso del modelo GLATER, lo que permitió orientarlo a partir de cuatro etapas: la primera etapa asignación de códigos y dimensiones, segunda etapa de descripción, tercera de categorización y cuarta etapa de interpretación. En la tercera y última fase se llevó a cabo la construcción de una aproximación teórica de la gestión de calidad basada en el método gerencial PDCA, propuesto por el investigador, a partir del análisis de las categorías y sus propiedades. Como producto de este proceso emergieron las categorías temáticas: Formación Integral, Disponibilidad y Uso de Medios Escolares, Dinámica del Aprendizaje Organizacional y el Liderazgo Institucional |
| Resumen en inglés | This study aimed to address quality management in the university classroom, specifically in the Department of Basic Sciences of the Dean of Civil Engineering of the Universidad Centroccidental Lisandro Alvarado. It was conceived under the modality of qualitative research of ethnographic type with an interpretive character. The research process involved three phases: obtaining information, in which key informants were selected from a group of four (4) teachers and three (3) students in an intentional sampling, interview techniques were applied and participant observation to record and categorize the informants' opinions. In the second phase, the analysis and interpretation of the information was done using the GLATER model, which allowed orientating it from four stages: the first stage assignment of codes and dimensions, second stage of description, third of categorization and fourth stage of interpretation. In the third and final phase the construction of a theoretical approach of the quality management based on the managerial method PDCA, proposed by the researcher, was carried out starting from the analysis of the categories and their properties. As a result of this process, the thematic categories emerged: Integral Training, Availability and Use of School Media, Dynamics of Organizational Learning and Institutional Leadership |
