Resumen en inglés | Cyclamen persicum has its origin in cold and dry mountain regions of Meditteranean. The flowering cycle is from six to eight months, and it's faster in high temperatures. In 1999 and 2000 the occurrence of a foliar disease on cyclamen cultivated on pot under greenhouse was detected in Arujá, SP. From plants with foliar, stems and petals necrosis simptoms and orange growth, a fungus was isolated in BDA+OXI medium. The fungus had greyish micelium, and the morphological characterization (colonial aspect, shape and size of conidia and acervuli) and the Koch Postulates confirmed the occurrence of Colletotrichum gloeosporioides as the causal agent of cyclamen anthracnosis. The occurrence of Colletotrichum gloeosporioides in cyclamen (Cyclamen persicum) is reported for the first time in the state of |
