Resumen en inglés | Nursing work through interventions that contribute to the adaptation of the binomial is essential to allow parental involvement in caring for their premature and contribute to their welfare. It is essential that health institutions based on care provided to patients in the empirical evidence provided by nursing. Materials and Methods: Relection article based on my professional experience and the evidence found in the literature demonstrating the critical role of nursing professionals and parents in the adaptation of their infants. Results: The work of nursing is essential to contribute to parental involvement and survival of prematurity. Discussion: The little recognition in the society of our discipline is caused by conditioning to other health professions in the execution of the activities we do every day in the Neonatal Intensive Care Units. Conclusions: Through nursing interventions may improve the situation that experience premature parents, which will support in making policy decisions in health institutions |
