| Resumen en inglés | The aim of this paper is to discuss the relevance of the hermeneutic interpretation in Paul Ricoeur’s work. The author draws attention to the interpretation of texts and the role of hermeneutics as a methodological guide in the reading and writing of works and texts – whether theoretical or poetic. The hermeneutic interpretation requires a methodological and an ontological attitude, whose prerequisite is the reflexive philosophy. Ricoeur emphasizes the relevance of the dialectics of understanding and the dialectics of explanation, drawing special attention to elements such as the word, the myth, the poetry, the symbol, and the sign as expressions of the human language, which is not exempt from ideological and utopian materials from the socio-cultural and political fields, whose spheres of understanding and explanation function as integration, legitimization, and dissimulation, which can lead to mistakes, but also reveal manipulations or desires of freedom from the collective |
| Resumen en portugués | O artigo objetiva discutir a relevância da interpretação hermenêutica na obra de Paul Ricoeur. O autor chama a atenção para a interpretação de textos, para o papel da hermenêutica como um guia metodológico na leitura e escrita de obras e textos – teóricos ou poéticos. Uma interpretação hermenêutica requer uma atitude metodológica e uma atitude ontológica, cujo pressuposto é a filosofia reflexiva. Ricoeur destaca a relevância da dialética da compreensão e da dialética na explicação da interpretação. Também merecem especial atenção elementos como a palavra, o mito, a poesia, o símbolo, o signo, porque são expressões da linguagem humana, a qual não se isenta de materiais advindos das ideologias e das utopias do campo sociocultural e político, cujas esferas da compreensão e da explicação têm funções de integração, legitimação e dissimulação, que podem conduzir a equívocos, mas também revelar manipulações ou desejos de liberdade do coletivo |
