Resumen en inglés | Real time ultrasound in hair sheep was evaluated to determine pregnancy rate at different post-service periods. Eighty Dorper ewes were used and pregnancy was diagnosed with rectal transducer from day 25, and later at 35, 45 and 60 days. Greater percentage of correct diagnoses were obtained at 60 days (P < 0.05) after ewes were mounted. However, 25 days from the service date it is possible to determine pregnancy with 77.5% of assertions, not differing (P < 0.05) when carried out at 35 days (79%); but at 45 days, 89% pregnancy assertions were obtained (P < 0.05). It was concluded that from 25 days after service, pregnancy can be diagnosed with a minimal reliability of 77% |
