| Resumen en español | El presente trabajo se desarrolló en áreas del organopónico de la Unidad Básica de Producción Cooperativa “Marcial Jiménez” perteneciente a la Empresa Azucarera “Enidio Díaz Machado” ubicada en el municipio de Campechuela, provincia Granma, la siembra del experimento se ejecuto el 25 de octubre del 2011 con el objetivo de evaluar la respuesta del cultivo del pepino (Cucumis sativus L.) a un suministro variable de riego en los que se utilizó la variedad comercial Tropical SS-5. El experimento se estableció en canteros de 25 m de largo; 1,20 m de ancho; 0,30 m de sustrato efectivo y 0,5 m de pasillos. Se utilizó un diseño de bloques al azar con tres réplicas y cuatro tratamientos. El sustrato utilizado consistió en una mezcla de suelo Fersialítico pardo (70 %) y materia orgánica (cachaza y humus de lombriz al 30 %). Los tratamientos consistieron en aplicar reducciones a la norma de riego indicada por el instructivo técnico (100, 75, 50 y 25 %) en las diferentes etapas del cultivo (de 0-10, 10-40, 40-60 y 60-80 días después de la germinación). Se evaluaron variables fenológicas, vegetativas y reproductivas de la variedad. Los resultados demuestran que los indicadores evaluados se reducen a medida que se crea un déficit hídrico a las plantas debido a las disminuciones de la norma de riego |
| Resumen en inglés | The present work was developed in areas of the organoponic of the Basic Unit of Cooperative Production “Marcial Jiménez” belonging to the Sugar Company “Enidio Díaz Machado” located in the municipality of Campechuela, county Granma, the sidebar of the experiment you executes October 25 the 2011 with the objective of evaluating the answer of the cultivation of the cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) to a variable supply of watering in those that the Tropical commercial variety SS-5 was used.
