| Resumen en español | En los últimos años se ha hecho público el creciente descontento de los investigadores en las universidades chilenas por la situación en que se encuentra la investigación en Artes y Humanidades en el país. Este artículo tiene como objetivo dar cuenta del itinerario teórico y político de la Asociación de Investigadores en Artes y Humanidades, organización de la sociedad civil, sin fines de lucro, que surge formalmente en el año 2017. Su participación activa en la discusión de la ley que finalmente creó el Ministerio de Ciencia, Tecnología, Conocimiento e Innovación permitió no solo que estas áreas fueran consideradas explícitamente en la institucionalidad, sino que también abrió el debate sobre la necesidad de reflexionar respecto al rol de estas áreas en la sociedad que queremos construir |
| Resumen en inglés | In the past years there has been an increasing dissatisfaction among Chil ean academic investigators in regards to the situation of research in the humanities and arts. The aim of this article is to give an account of the political and theoretical itinerary of the Arts and Humanities Researchers Association, a nonprofit organization that has had formal existence since 2017. Our active participation, as an Association, in the dis cussion of the law that created the current Ministry of Science, Technology, Knowledge and Innovation, resulted, not only, in arts and humanities being explicitly included in the law, but it also pushed the debate regarding the need to reflect on the role that these research areas play in the discussion of the society we want for the future |
