Resumen en español | Se describe e ilustra en detalle Passiflora salpoense S. Leiva & Tantalean (Passifloraceae) una nueva especie del Norte del Perú. P. salpoense es propia de Shitahuara (al norte de Salpo), Distrito Salpo, Prov. Otuzco, Dpto. La Libertad, Perú, a los 7o59’50,4”S y 78o36’46,0” W, entre los 3450- 3490 m de elevación, presenta flores solitarias, ligeramente horizontales, zigomorfas por nudo, hipanto infundibuliforme verde la superficie adaxial, rojizo la ½ distal, ciliado en toda su longitud externamente, sépalos 5, oblongos, amarillos a rojizos externa e interiormente, pétalos 5, oblongos rojizo los ¾ distales, amarillento el ¼ basal externa e interiormente, estambres homodínamos, zigomorfos, ovario oblongo, ciliado, baya globosa, serícea, bejucos 1,5-2 (-3) m de longitud, hojas seríceas. Adicionalmente a la descripción, se presenta la ilustración correspondiente, se discuten sus relaciones con otra especie afín e incluyen datos sobre etnobotánica, distribución geográfica y ecología, fenología, estado actual y usos de la especie |
Resumen en inglés | Passiflora salpoense S. Leiva & Tantalean (Passifloraceae), a new species from Northern Peru, is described and illustrated in detail. P. salpoense is found in Shitahuara (north of Salpo), Salpo District, Province of Otuzco, Department of La Libertad, Peru, at 7o59’50,4” S and 78o36’46,0” W, between 3450-3490 m above sea level. It presents solitary zygomorphic flowers per node, hypanthium infundibuliform, green on the adaxial surface, reddish on the distal half, ciliate in all its extension externally, sepals 5, oblong, yellow to reddish externally and internally, petals 5, oblong, reddish on distal ¾, yellowish on the basal quarter externally and internally, homodynamous stamens, zygomorphic, ovary oblong, ciliate, berry globose, sericeous, reeds 1,5-2 (-3) m long, leaves sericeous. In addition to the description, we present the corresponding illustration, discuss its relationship with other similar species and include information about ethnobotany, geographic range and ecology, phenology, conservation status and uses of the species |
