| Resumen en español | Se presenta un estudio comparativo de las series de tiempo del Índice Nacional de Precios al Consumidor (INPC), elaborado por el Banco Central de Venezuela y las diferencias año/mes actual versus año/mes anterior en la recaudación tributaria del municipio Libertador del estado Mérida, para el período 2010–2014. Ambas series se tratan en tendencia y se estima un modelo lineal para estudiar la asociación entre ambas variables. Por último se efectúa un análisis prospectivo que reveló las potencialidades de recaudación tributarias inexploradas en el municipio mencionado. Se concluye que puede afirmarse estadísticamente que en términos de tendencia, existe una fuerte correlación lineal y determinación de las diferencias en la recaudación por parte del INPC |
| Resumen en inglés | A comparative study of the time series of the National Consumer Price Index prepared by the Central Bank of Venezuela and the current year / month differences versus previous year / month in the tax collection of the Libertador municipality of Mérida state, for the period 2010-2014. Both series are treated in trend and a linear model is estimated to study the association between both variables. Finally, a prospective analysis was carried out that revealed the untapped potential of tax collection in the mentioned municipality. It is concluded that it can be stated statistically that in terms of trend, there is a strong linear correlation and determination of the differences in the collection by the index |
