| Resumen en inglés | Owing to the polysemic nature of the Portuguese term “gênero” and since studies on the grammatical and textual genres deal with the study of issues on gender, current analysis synthesizes in a single text the different forms by which the “grammatical genre” and “textual genre” subjects are de alt with in linguistic studies. The investigation also deals with the interference in these studies of a perspective of gender which agrees with the language’s social characteristics |
| Resumen en portugués | Tendo em vista a natureza polissêmica do vocábulo gênero em português, bem como o fato de os estudos dos gêneros gramaticais e dos gêneros textuais terem se revelado um campo aberto ao estudo de questões afetas ao gênero social (gender), busco, neste artigo, sintetizar em um único texto as diversas formas pelas quais os assuntos “gênero gramatical” e “gênero textual” vêm sendo tratados no interior dos estudos linguísticos. A pesquisa visa ainda assinalar a interferência, no interior desses estudos, de uma perspectiva de gênero (gender) que se coaduna com o caráter social da linguagem |
