| English abstract | This paper intends to discuss how the race category is used to classify the definition of opportunities for blacks and whites in the face of social protec - tion policies, particularly in the social security policy in Brazil. For this, we will be approaching the main characteristics that the literature on the subject gives us, focusing in this direction, the relations between whites and blacks on the social sphere, political and economic context as this has important variables with regard to opportunities for access the welfare of these groups |
| Portuguese abstract | O presente trabalho tem a intenção de discutir como a categoria raça é utilizada para classificar a definição das oportunidades de brancos e negros diante das políticas de proteção social, em especial da política previdenciária do Brasil. Para tanto, abordaremos as principais características que a litera - tura sobre a questão nos proporciona, focalizando nesse sentido, as relações entre brancos e negros diante da esfera social, política e econômica, pois esse contexto possui variáveis importantes no que diz respeito às oportunidades de acesso ao bem-estar social entre negros e brancos em nosso país |
