| Spanish abstract | El texto explica la compleja reconfiguración política que vive América Latina en la última década, a partir de la cual se han desarrollado importantes modificaciones del Estado en torno a la democracia y la economía, destacando los casos de Venezuela, Bolivia y Ecuador. También se abordan los procesos de integración regional que tienden a una mayor independencia frente a la hegemonía estadounidense, así como la continuidad de Estados neoliberales en algunos países que enfrentan fuertes resistencias en el contexto de una grave crisis política y social. Se trata de explicar el presente latinoamericano y caribeño ante un conjunto de cambios, al parecer irreversibles, que plantean un escenario de verdadera justicia social, bajo la vigencia de una democracia participativa y el ejercicio pleno de la soberanía nacional |
| English abstract | The text explains the complex political reconfiguration that Latin America in the last decade, from which important changes have been developed around the State of democracy and the economy, highlighting the cases of Venezuela, Bolivia and Ecuador. It also addresses regional integration processes that tend to be more independence from U.S. hegemony and the continuation of neo-liberal States in some countries faced strong resistance in the context of profound political and social crisis. It tries to explain the Latin American and Caribbean to present a set of changes, apparently irreversible, presenting a scene of true social justice, under the effect of a participatory democracy and the full exercise of nation sovereignty |
