| Spanish abstract | En Las Troyanas de Eurípides observamos la imagen de la guerra en la conciencia occidental como matriz de futuras identidades ante dos claves: el distanciamiento de lo divino y la reacción femenina. La lógica de la guerra se revierte en la virtud purificatoria de la madre, que sostiene su capacidad de dar vida mediante la compasión, concretada en el entierro, acto central de la obra. La sepultura por antonomasia de Troya, corporizada en el escudo de Héctor que velará por Astianacte, es signo de reconciliación por el sacrificio y reclamo a través de los siglos de la superioridad de la paz |
| English abstract | In The Trojan Women by Euripides we observe the image of war in Western consciousness as the matrix of future identities facing two keys: the spacing of the divine and the female reaction. The logic of war is reversed in the purification virtue of the mother, holding her ability to give life through compassion, embodied in the burial, central act of the play. The burial for antonomasia of Troy, embodied in the shield of Hector to ensure Astyanax, is a sign of reconciliation by sacrifice and claim through the centuries of the superiority of peace |
