| Spanish abstract | En este artículo indagaremos en Racimo, de Diego Zúñiga, Ejercicios de encuadre, de Carlos Araya Díaz, y en el relato ‘Italia’, del volumen de cuentos Quiltras, de Arelis Uribe, las huellas e interferencias que presagian las revueltas populares iniciadas el 18 de octubre de 2019, denominadas el ‘Despertar de Chile’. Consideramos como detonante de las revueltas, la violencia estructural del neoliberalismo, modelo de desarrollo que ha generado en Chile altos grados de desigualdad y exclusión social, junto a un malestar social acumulado por décadas. Las tres obras a investigar, fueron publicadas por narradores nóveles durante el último lustro y, en ellas, la violencia estructural del neoliberalismo aparece como motivo dominante, específicamente, la relacionada a la discriminación a las mujeres que analizaremos desde una perspectiva interseccional-, y la producida por desigualdades de origen socioeconómico -que revisaremos en sus manifestaciones de marginalidad y clasismo- |
| English abstract | In this article we will investigate in Racimo, by Diego Zúñiga, Ejercicios de encuadre, by Carlos Araya Díaz, and ‘Italia0, by Arelis Uribe, the traces and interferences that presage the popular revolts that began on 18 October 2019, called the 'Awakening of Chile'. We consider the structural violence of neoliberalism as a trigger for the revolts, a development model that has generated in Chile high degrees of inequality and social exclusion, along with decades-long social unrest. The three works to be researched were published by young writers on the past five years and, in them, the structural violence of neoliberalism appears as the main motive, specifically, that related to discrimination against women -which we will analyze from an intersectional perspective-, and that produced by inequalities of socioeconomic reason -which we will review in its manifestations of marginality and classism- |
