| Spanish abstract | La génesis de este texto estuvo en la necesidad de sistematizar los principales aspectos de las prácticas religosas del África subsahariana. En este empeño fue que me percaté de la escisión, todavía bastante profunda, entre las ivestigaciones sobre arte y religión africanos; lo cual pudiera parecer contradictorio, si se considera que muchas de las piezas que componen la primera categoría son imprescindibles en la práctica de la segunda. Atendiendo a esto, el presente artículo intenta presentar las generalidades de esa relación. De este modo, es el punto de partida de una futura investigación donde la "obra de arte" dejará de ser mero ejemplo (como en este caso) para convertirse en el centro del análisis |
| English abstract | The present paper was originated by the need to systematize the main aspects of Southern African Horne religious activities. While writting this text, I became aware of the division. Still quite profound, among the African art and religious research, which might seem contradictory regarding the many pieces making up the first category, and which are essential when practicing the second one. Meeting such, this paper attempt to present those general outlines of that relationship. Thus, such is the departing point of a future research where the "work of art" will stop being a mere example (as it is in this case) to become the focus of the analysis |
