| English abstract | This work proposes to study the marginal poetry, and the oeuvre of Chacal in particular, as a manner of reconstruction of the cultural identity on post-colonial context. We treat as marginal literature the one that includes authors who not only have difficulties on publishing and find alternative means to solve them, but also authors whose literary production has traits in common. We search to think about the marginal poet as the one who is in opposition with the present cultural environment, the one who produces himself, and produces, with the cultural differences articulation. We intent to situate the “in-between” place of marginal poetry |
| Portuguese abstract | Este trabalho se propõe estudar a poesia marginal, e a obra de Chacal em particular, como uma maneira de reconstrução de identidade cultural no contexto pós-colonial. Tratamos como literatura marginal aquela que engloba autores que não apenas têm dificuldades de publicação e encontram meios alternativos para saná-las, mas também autores cuja produção literária possui traços em comum. Buscamos pensar no poeta marginal como aquele que está em oposição ao meio cultural circundante, aquele que se produz, e produz, na articulação de diferenças culturais.
