| Spanish abstract | En las tres últimas décadas el porfiriato ha experimentado una profunda revisión historiográfica. Se ha pasado revista a todas aquellas ideas construidas por la historiografía que merecían matices y regresar a las fuentes. Uno de estos temas es la proyección del país y del gobernante Porfirio Díaz en la época de mayor esplendor y éxito de la dictadura. Se daba por sentando que las expresiones de admiración que mereció Porfirio Díaz no tenían mucho peso. Sin embargo, para la historiografía reciente esas manifestaciones se explican en buena parte gracias a las redes diplomáticas que el gobernante tendió alrededor del mundo con el objetivo de proyectar una idea de nación y que el mundo le reconociera como artífice en la construcción del México moderno. Esta proyección y el papel de los diplomáticos se ha estudiando en las relaciones con Europa y Estados Unidos, sin embargo, se carecen de estudios sobre otras regiones, importantes también en el proyecto nacional del porfiriato. Este texto estudia cómo el gobierno mexicano proyectó en Cuba la imagen porfirista de la nación mexicana y cómo funcionó la maquinaria diplomática y otros agentes ligados a la campaña promocional; todos siguiendo la estela del artilugio |
| English abstract | In the last three decades the Porfirio Diaz regime has undergone a profound historiographical review. All the constructed ideas that deserved nuances have been reviewed by historians and return to the sources. One such issue is the projection of the country and the ruler Porfirio Diaz in the heyday and success of the dictatorship. It was understood that the expressions of admiration that Diaz provoke did not deserve much weight. However, according to recent historiography these manifestations are explained in large part because of diplomatic networks that stretched around the world leader in order to project an idea of nation and the world recognition as a creator in the construction of modern Mexico. This projection and the role of diplomats has been studied in relations with Europe and the United States, however, there are no studies on other regions, also important in the national project of Porfirio Diaz. | Other abstract | Le porfiriato a éprouvé une vraie révision historiographique dans les dernières trois décades. On a analysé toutes les idées construites par l'historiographie qui méritaient d'être étudié. Un de ces thèmes est la projection du pays et du dirigeant Porfirio Díaz à l'époque de la réussite de sa gestion dictatoriale. Les expressions de sympathie de la part du peuple n'étaient pas très importantes. Pourtant, pour l'historiographie actuelle, ces sortes de marques s'expliquent grâce aux réseaux diplomatiques que le président a montrés autour du monde avec le seul propos de rayonner une certaine idée de nation afin que le monde le reconnaisse comme l'artifice de la construction du Mexique moderne. Cette projection et le rôle des diplomates ont été étudiés dans les relations entre le Mexique et l'Europe, et le Mexique et les Etats–Unis. Toutefois, on n'a pas d'études par rapport aux autres régions qui étaient aussi importantes dans le projet national de Porfirio Díaz. Ce texte recherche la manière comment le gouvernement Mexicain a envoyé à Cuba l'image d'un porfirismo de la nation Mexicaine et même comment l'organisation diplomatique et d'autres agents liés à la campagne promotionnelle ont marché en suivant le trace des subterfuges |
