| Spanish abstract | La relación bilateral México-Italia es en general un tema muy poco explorado. El trabajo propone, desde una óptica política, la reconstrucción histórica de las relaciones con México, bajo la influencia callista y su contraparte fascista italiana. Se busca poner de manifiesto la tónica y términos en que se dio la relación diplomática, los contactos comerciales y los que se dieron entre los particulares y los Estados. Se pone, sin embargo, particular énfasis al grado y tipo de intereses que el fascismo italiano generaba en los círculos del gobierno callista. La investigación está basada no únicamente en las relaciones diplomáticas oficiales, sino también en los testimonios de figuras políticas y partes militares, ambos mexicanos. De manera tangencial, el artículo tiene el cometido secundario de contribuir a la delimitación de la posible influencia que pudo haber llegado a tener el fascismo italiano sobre los regímenes de gobiernos mexicanos de aquel periodo |
| English abstract | The relationship between Mexico and Italy is in general a poorly explored issue. What this work proposes is, from a political perspective, the historical reconstruction of the relationship between the two countries, during the "callista" period in Mexico and its fascist counterpart in Italy. The purpose is to show the nature of this diplomatic relationship, as well as expose some of the business contacts and those between the individuals and the States. However, particular emphasis is put on the kind and intensity of the interests that the Mexican government had in Italian fascism. The study is based not only on formal diplomatic exchanges, but it also considers the testimonies of Mexican politicians and military reports. Indirectly, the article represents a contribution in clarifying the possible influence fascism could have had on Mexican political regimes during the given period |
