| Spanish abstract | El crecimiento de la actividad turística en Chile, especialmente en los últimos cinco años, donde las cifras de turismo receptivo se han disparado hasta los 5,6 millones de visitantes el año 20161 , supone muchos efectos positivos, especialmente en términos económicos. Sin embargo también genera preocupación, puesto que existen varias áreas que aún no están del todo fortalecidas o realmente preparadas para atender las cada vez más complejas necesidades de los turistas actuales. Es en este contexto que se realiza esta investigación académica, donde, a través de una mirada histórica, se analiza la evolución de la profesionalización de la actividad turística en nuestro país, considerando aspectos positivos y negativos que inciden en su desarrollo hasta la actualidad y su proyección futura |
| English abstract | The growth of tourist activity in Chile, especially in the last five years, where the number of receptive tourism has soared to 5.6 million visitors in 2016, has many positive effects, especially in economic terms, but also causes concern, since there are several areas that are not yet fully strengthened or really prepared to meet the increasingly complex needs of the current tourists. It is in this context that academic research is performed, where through a historical look, analyzes the evolution of the professionalization of the tourist activity in our country, considering the positive and negative aspects that affect their development up to the present and its projection in the future |
