| Spanish abstract | En el valle de Los Reyes, Michoacán, el cultivo de bayas –sobre todo zarzamoras– destinado a la exportación ha provocado cambios territoriales y sociales importantes, tanto en el valle mismo como en las sierras colindantes. Mediante el análisis de la evolución de los paisajes, estudiaremos los procesos que se dan en el territorio, el impacto que tienen en las categorías sociales implicadas –productores, cañeros, trabajadores– y en su percepción del espacio. Finalmente, evaluaremos el papel y la zona de influencia del valle a nivel regional, los problemas que causa el nuevo modelo y las perspectivas que ofrece a futuro |
| English abstract | In Valle de Los Reyes, Michoacán, the berry crop–especially, blackberries–destined for export has led to major social and territorial shifts both in the valley itself as well as in the neighboring sierra. By means of analyzing the evolution of the landscape, we can study the processes occurring in the area, the impact they have on the social categories involved– producers, sugarcane workers, workers–and on their perception of space. Finally, we will evaluate the role and sphere of influence of the valley regionally, the problems caused by the new model, and the outlook for the future |
