| Spanish abstract | El impacto que la pandemia ha provocado sobre las personas mayores ha sido flagrante en la mayoría de los países del mundo. Ante esta situación las respuestas también han variado dependiendo de las diferentes zonas, en donde los entornos comunitarios y los entornos protegidos atienden a los adultos mayores desde diversos estándares y sistemas de protección, los cuales inciden sobre sus derechos de ciudadanía. Reflexionar sobre las percepciones que la pandemia evidencia sobre las personas mayores desde los distintos contextos, nos hace inferir ciertos valores respecto al envejecimiento. Por lo que, las intervenciones profesionales tienen la responsabilidad de verificar la idoneidad de los paradigmas y los marcados valores que priorizamos a la hora de trabajar desde un enfoque utilitarista la senectud, con la finalidad de brindar el mayor bienestar a las personas que atraviesan por esta etapa |
| English abstract | The impact that the pandemic has had on older people has been flagrant in most countries in the world. Faced with this situation, the responses have also varied depending on the different areas, where community settings and protected settings serve older adults from various standards and protection systems, which affect their citizenship rights.Reflecting on the perceptions that the pandemic shows about the elderly from different contexts, makes us infer certain values regarding aging. Therefore, professional interventions have the responsibility of verifying the suitability of the paradigms and the marked values that we prioritize when working from a utilitarian approach to senescence, in order to provide the greatest well-being to people who go through this stage |
