| Spanish abstract | El propósito de este trabajo es presentar dos de las objeciones más importantes que recibió la doctrina de Fís. VIII acerca del carácter imperecedero del movimiento. Para ello, recurriré a dos comentaristas griegos del corpus bien conocidos por la agudeza de sus críticas a la obra del Estagirita, pero también por su profunda comprensión de su obra. La primera objeción que revisaremos aparece en el comentario de Juan Filópono a la Física, mientras que la segunda esta tomada de la obra "Refutación de ciertas doctrinas aristotélicas" que se le atribuye a un autor conocido como el Pseudo Justino. Antes de presentar ambas objeciones, revisaremos brevemente los dos argumentos aristotélicos aludidos en dichas objeciones |
| English abstract | The aim of this paper is to present two of the most important critiques that Physics VIII has received. In order to do so, I will draw on two Greek commentators of the corpus who are very well-known due to the sharpness of their critiques to the oeuvre of the Stagirite, as well as due to their deep understanding of it. The first objection that I will look at appears in the commentary to the Physics of John Philoponus, while the second one is taken from an author called the Pseudo-Justin. Before I address them, I will briefly look at the two Aristotelian arguments to which the above objections allude |
