| Spanish abstract | El presente artículo realiza un estudio del concepto aristotélico de ciudadano y qué es lo que le caracteriza para que pueda ser considerado tal. A la vez, y para esta consideración del ciudadano, se hace hincapié en la importancia de la distinción aristotélica entre gobernante y gobernado, y de la pertenencia del ciudadano a distintos regímenes. La atención proporcionada por Aristóteles a las virtudes que hacen de un hombre un buen hombre, y que hacen a un ciudadano un buen ciudadano, y la relación entre ambas figuras es también un aspecto central del artículo. Una de las conclusiones será la importancia de la virtud de la prudencia para la vida en la pólis y en concreto para el gobernante |
| English abstract | The present article explores the Aristotelian concept of citizenship and its central characteristics. At the same time, and for this consideration of the citizen, the article stresses the importance of the Aristotelian distinction between the ruler and the ruled, and of the citizen's participation in different regimes. Particular focus is given to Aristotle s interest in the virtues that make a man good and that make a citizen a good citizen, as well as the relationship between both figures. It concludes by exploring the importance of the virtue of prudence for life in the polis and for the ruler in particular |
