| Spanish abstract | Este artículo presenta el arte de memorialización realizado por artistas chilenos en el contexto de los 40 años del golpe de estado del 11 de septiembre de 1973. El arte de memorialización cuestiona el avance de la consolidación democrática y critica problemas que todavía siguen existiendo como el tema de los desaparecidos. Los artistas usan recursos simbólicos para indagar los residuos del periodo dictatorial y vamos a discutir el caso de los desaparecidos oponiéndolo a otras miradas sobre la dictadura. El aniversario de los 40 años del golpe de estado del 1973 ha provocado un interés muy alto en el pasado y las intervenciones artísticas han sido múltiples (intervenciones callejeras, en los museos, etc.) Este artículo demuestra como el arte contri¬buye a la construcción de una memoria más inclusiva de la dictadura chilena |
| English abstract | This article presents art of memorialization realized by Chilean artists in the context of the 40 years since the coup d’Etat of 11 of September 1973. Art of memorialization questions the advance of the consolidation of democracy and critiques problems that still exist as that of the disappeared. Artists use symbols to investigate what remains of the dictatorial past and we will discuss the case of the disappeared opposing it to other perspectives on the dictatorship. The anniversary of 40 years of the coup of 1973 has provoked an increased interest in the past and multiple artistic interventions were seen (in the streets, in museums, etc.) This article demonstrates how art contributes to the construction of a more inclusive memory of the Chilean dictatorship |
