| Spanish abstract | Se describe la utilización de una torre de tendido eléctrico de alta tensión por una pareja de Phalcoboenus megalopterus (Meyen, 1834) para construir su nido en la zona agrícola de Proter (17º48'S 70º34'O; 490 msnm) en el Valle de Sama, Tacna, Perú. Al parecer, las aves abandonaron el nido al no lograr un éxito reproductivo. Posiblemente, este sea el primer registro de intención de anidamiento de esta especie a baja altitud en el Perú |
| English abstract | The use of a high-voltage electrical tower by a pair of Phalcoboenus megalopterus (Meyen, 1834) to construct their nest in the agricultural zone of Proter (17º48'S 70º34'O; 490 msnm) in the Valley of Sama, Tacna, Peru was described. Apparently, the birds abandoned the nest after failing to reproduce successfully. Possibly, this is the first record of the intention to nest at low altitude for this species in Peru |
