| Spanish abstract | El trabajo se propone abordar los inicios de lo que actualmente se denomina "orientación cultural" en el campo de la Psicología. Para ello se recurre a los orígenes modernos del término cultura, señalando algunas de sus utilizaciones tanto en la Ilustración francesa como en el Romanticismo alemán, así como los decisivos aportes de Herder en referencia al concepto de Volkgeist. Luego se señala a la ‘Psicología de los pueblos’ creada por Lazarus y Stenthal como el momento inicial en esta orientación; considerados brevemente, se ubican los aportes que en esa misma dirección han realizado tanto Wundt como Dilthey |
| English abstract | This work intends to approach the beginnings of what at the moment is denominated 'cultural orientation' in Psychology field. For it is appealed it to the modern origins of the term culture, pointing out some of their uses so much in the French Illustration as in the German Romanticism, as well as the decisive contributions of Herder in reference to Volkgeist concept. Then it is pointed out the 'People Psychology created by Lazarus, & Stendhal like the initial moment in this orientation; considered shortly, the contributions are located that have carried out as much Wundt as Dilthey in that same direction |
