| Spanish abstract | Este artículo presenta los resultados de una investigación realizada durante el año 2007, que tuvo como objetivo principal analizar los impactos de la televisión en los procesos de configuración de identidad y comunidad de los habitantes de la población La Bandera. Aquí se exponen los datos más relevantes de la etapa cuantitativa, que consistió en una encuesta para medir el consumo y la recepción del medio seleccionado para este estudio. Dentro de las conclusiones más importantes, se encuentra la alta penetración de la televisión, pero a la vez su mala evaluación en términos de contenido y su tendencia a la generalización de los estereotipos de los sujetos populares |
| English abstract | This article presents the results of an investigation made during 2007. Its main objective is to analyze the impact of television in the process of shaping identity and community of the inhabitants of the neighborhood La Bandera. Here are presented the most relevant results of the quantitative phase, which consisted of a survey to measure the habitant’s consumption and reception of television. Among the most important findings is the high penetration of television. But, at the same time, they have a bad evaluation of television content and its tendency to widespread stereotypes of popular subjects |
