| Spanish abstract | El pensamiento del teólogo ítalo-alemán Romano Guardini cuenta entre los impulsos más importantes de la renovación teológica y eclesial que se desarrolló en torno al Concilio Vaticano II. Como sucede con la obra de todo gran pensador y pensadora, la recepción de sus ideas está condicionada por el tiempo, los lugares y las personas que las acogen e interpretan. En esta recepción -de ya más de 50 años-ha quedado demostrada la riqueza de su pensamiento, pero no se ha advertido respecto del talante crítico de su teología, especialmente en la consideración del fenómeno religioso. Este artículo busca ser un aporte a la recepción de este gran teólogo católico, precisamente destacando la hondura de su reflexión sobre el fenómeno religioso y, en particular, mostrando cómo su pensamiento constituye un aporte significativo para una reflexión crítica de la religión. A partir de una obra madura de Guardini, Religión y revelación, publicada el año 1958, en este artículo se ofrecen algunas categorías fundamentales para comprender el acontecer de la religión, pero también para examinarla críticamente y, así, dar forma a una teología que contribuya a su purificación y renovación |
| English abstract | The thought of the Italian-German theologian Romano Guardini is among the most important impulses in the theological and ecclesial renewal that developed around the Second Vatican Council. As with the work of every great thinker, the reception of his ideas is conditioned by the time and place in which they are received and the people who interpret them. In this reception—of more than 50 years—the richness of his thought has been demonstrated. However, the critical disposition of his theology has not been noted, especially in his consideration of the religious phenomenon. This article seeks to contribute to the reception of this great Catholic theologian by highlighting the depth of his reflection on the religious phenomenon and, in particular, by showing how his thought constitutes a significant contribution to a critical reflection on religion. Starting from a mature work of Guardini published in 1958, Religion and Revelation, this article proposes some fundamental categories by which to understand the occurrence of religion and examine it critically and, thus, to shape a theology that contributes to its own purification and renewal |
