| English abstract | The question about freedom and its constitutive relation with the being person accompany the western thought from Ancient Greece. The article starts from the observation of freedom’s importance in the practical, philosophical, religious and theological questions, following then an identification of some notes and description of its levels, to conclude with the analysis of the affirmation of the existence of the human freedom shown up in base of the cogito, of the “ eternal truths “, the experience of morality, the fact of being even demanded to deny it and, finally, in the promise, in the gratitude and other acts which presuppose the not determinist condition |
| Portuguese abstract | A pergunta pela liberdade e sua relação constitutiva com o ser pessoa acompanham o pensamento ocidental desde a Grécia Antiga. Parte-se da constatação de sua importância nas questões práticas, filosóficas, religiosas e teológicas, seguindo-se uma identificação de algumas notas e descrição de seus níveis, para concluir com a análise da afirmação da existência da liberdade humana evidenciada em base ao cogito, às “verdades eternas”, à experiência da moralidade, ao fato de ser exigida, mesmo para negá-la, e, finalmente, na promessa, na gratidão e outros atos que pressupõem a condição nãodeterminista |
