| English abstract | Taking as a starting point the experience in the Teacher Training Course for Indigenous Teachers Teko Arandu, “the way of being wise”, and from field research carried out in Guarani and Kaiowá villages, this article seeks to reflect on the link between language and identity and between language and word in the mind set and experience of Guarani groups. Ethnographic data is presented when considered pertinent for a differentiated and intercultural proposal of university teaching and some questions arising out of the authors insertion into Guarani communities |
| Portuguese abstract | A partir da experiência no curso de Licenciaturas Indígenas Teko Arandu, “modo de ser sábio”, e de pesquisas de campo realizadas em aldeias guarani e kaiowá, procuro, neste artigo, refletir sobre os vínculos entre língua e identidade e entre língua e palavra no pensamento e na experiência de grupos chamados guarani. Apresento dados etnográficos que considero pertinentes para uma proposta diferenciada e intercultural de ensino universitário e socializo alguns questionamentos decorrentes da minha inserção nas comunidades guarani.
