| English abstract | Research into teaching, teacher training the decade of the 80. The present social context is at a paradoxical moment as the te- achers are expected to become professionals in a scenario in which professionalism, professional training and professions generally are going through a period of profound crisis. If this is the case found in the context of present society and education, how does the indigenous teacher place himself in this scenario? What place does he take in his community in terms of social signi fi cance? What is the role of education in the projects of autonomy and sustainability? What proposal should permeate the work carried out in the indi- genous school? What knowledge should the teacher have to carry out the action of teaching? Considering this controversial situation, the text in hand seeks to re fl ect on the meaning of learning in the teaching of the Terena indigenous teacher. The social relevance of the study is expressed in the intention, in an unprecedented way, to attend to the necessity of knowing and bringing out the important characteristics for the understanding of the Terena people, as well as the transposition and interpreta- tion of their knowledge to didactic-pedagogical materials, facilitating the insertion of indigenous themes into the school curriculum. Another signi fi cant and decisive factor for the carrying out of the study is to be found in the participation of the teachers as researchers and authors in the investigation process of presenting data for formali- zation and analysis as of the production of bilingual didactic material to be used by the pupils of fundamental schooling in the Alexina Rosa Figueiredo School, located in the Buriti Village, in the municipality of Dois Irmãos do Buriti, Mato Grosso do Sul |
| Portuguese abstract | As pesquisas sobre a docência acentuaram-se a partir da década de 80. A atual conjuntura social encontra-se num momento paradoxal, pois se pede aos professores para tornarem-se pro fi ssionais num cenário em que o pro fissionalismo, a formação profissional e as profissões de modo geral atravessam um período de crise profunda. Se esta é a realidade encontrada no contexto da sociedade e educação vigente, como se situa neste cenário o professor indígena? Que lugar ele ocupa na sua comunidade em termos de signi fi cância social? Qual o papel da educação nos projetos de autonomia e sustentabilidade de seu povo? Que proposta deve permear o trabalho realizado na escola indígena? Quais saberes deve possuir para realizar o fazer docente? Considerando essas questões, o presente texto se propõe a refletir sobre a aprendizagem da docência do professor indígena Terena. A relevância social do estudo se expressou no fato de pretender, de forma inédita, atender à necessidade de se conhecer/levantar características importantes para a compreensão do povo Terena, assim como a transposição/interpretação de seus saberes para materiais didático-pedagógicos, facilitando a inserção de temáticas indígenas nos currículos de suas escolas. Outro fator significativo e decisivo para a realização do estudo residiu na participação dos professores no processo investigativo de levantamento dos dados à formalização e análise a partir de uma experiência de produção de material didático bilíngue a ser utilizado pelos alunos do ensino fundamental da Escola Alexina Rosa Figueiredo, localizada na Aldeia Buriti, município de Dois Irmãos do Buriti, MS |
