| Spanish abstract | En el presente artículo reflexionaremos sobre una de las transiciones vitales más relevantes para las mujeres griegas: el parto. Protagonizado por dos actores principales, el nonato y la parturienta, el alumbramiento es concebido como una travesía peligrosa que transforma física y socialmente a ambos. Tanto madre como hijo cruzan el umbral del “territorio salvaje” para adentrarse y establecerse en el centro y origen de la vida ciudadana: el οἶκος, asistidos por los dioses Ártemis y Hermes. Estos “dioses pasadores”, facilitan el camino a través de los pasos femeninos que conducen de la oscuridad del cuerpo de la mujer a la luz de la vida en el οἶκος, donde se encuentran con Hestia. De este modo, y a través de las fuentes clásicas y el análisis estructural, indagaremos en el concepto de parto de los griegos, en su carácter de paso y en las deidades “pasadoras” mencionadas |
| English abstract | In this paper we will reflect on one of the most important life transition of the Greek women: the birthing. Starring two main actors, the unborn and the mother, childbirth is conceived as a dangerous journey that transformed both physically and socially. Both mother and son, cross the threshold of the "wilderness" to enter and settle in the center and origin of city life: the οἶκος, assisted by the gods Artemis and Hermes. These “passers” gods facilitate the way through the female passages which lead from the darkness of a woman's body to the light of the οἶκος. Thus, through the classical sources and the structural analysis we will research the concept of birthing of the Greek, his passage character and the “passer” deities previously mentionned |
