| Spanish abstract | El surgimiento de las cooperativas en Venezuela y en casi todo el mundo viene enmarcado por la necesidad de contar con alternativas que ayuden a resolver los problemas económicos de la nación. Estas organizaciones han venido dando respuestas a un sin fin de necesi - dades de la sociedad, razón por la cual se planteó como objetivo de la presente investigación el conocer rasgos de la cultura organizativa de las cooperativas de consumo en el municipio Libertador del Estado Carabobo. Este estudio se abordó bajo el método cuantitativo, considerando una muestra aleatoria de 42 cooperativas a cuyos miembros se les aplicó un cuestionario como técnica de recolección de información. El estudio permitió evidenciar que en esas cooperativas de consumo existe una débil cultura organizativa, razón fundamental para que sus niveles competitivos también sean deficientes |
| English abstract | Cooperatives in Venezuela, and almost everywhere around the world, have emerged from the need of alternatives to solve the econo - mic problems of the nation. These institutions have responded to numerous needs of society. Thus, the aim of this research is to learn about the characteristics of the organizational culture of the consumer cooperatives located in Libertador Municipality in Carabobo State, Venezuela, using a quantitative method. A questionnaire was applied to 100 members of a cooperative in order to collect the information. The survey shows the weak organizational culture of these cooperatives that causes the deficiency of their competitive levels |
