| Spanish abstract | Este artículo revisa la educación para sobresalientes de cara a las sociedades de conocimiento. Empieza por argumentar a favor de la educación incluyente como el modelo a seguir en las sociedades del conocimiento. A continuación, evidencia rasgos de exclusión y elitismo en la educación tradicional de sobresalientes, que ilustra con el caso de México; describe también otros problemas que junto con la excusión, exigen replantear las estrategias pedagógicas y de identificación de estos niños y jóvenes. Concluye con una serie de propuestas para que los sobresalientes sean educados de manera incluyente en y para las sociedades del conocimiento |
| English abstract | This article reviews gifted education in relation to knowledge societies. It begins by arguing in favor of an inclusive education as the model for knowledge societies. Next, it shows exclusion and elitist traits in traditional gifted education. It takes as an example the case of Mexico. It also describes other problems that together with exclusion demand the reformula-tion of educational and identification strategies for these children and youngsters. It concludes with a series of propositions that will allow the gifted to be educated in an inclusive way in and for the knowledge societies |
