| Spanish abstract | El estudio del amor en distintas ciencias sociales ha crecido exponencialmente en los últimos años. La amplitud de tendencias –teóricas, metodológicas y de delimitación del objeto– en estas investigaciones ha planteado la necesidad de considerar el amor en varias dimensiones analíticas. El objetivo del trabajo es seguir esta intuición inicial –abordada por estudiosas como Stevi Jackson–, pero haciendo referencia a la forma como éstas se relacionan con distinciones del bagaje sociológico. Se propone que tales dimensiones permiten mirar distintos lados de un objeto científico. Así, el amor es visto en cuatro dimensiones y se utilizan artículos de origen francés y anglosajón para ejemplificar cada una de ellas |
| English abstract | The study of love in different fields of the social sciences has grown exponentially in recent years. The broad range of tendencies (theoretical, methodological, and in the definition of the object of study) in these studies has prompted the need to study love in several analytical dimensions. The aim of this article is to follow this initial intuition, dealt with by scholars like Stevi Jackson, but making reference to how these dimensions relate to distinctions present in sociology. The author proposes that these dimensions make it possible to approach a scientific object of study from different angles.
