| Spanish abstract | La geografía de la novela pone el acento en el papel del espacio en la elaboración de tramas literarias. La primera parte de este trabajo expone las tesis de Franco Moretti y James Kneale para resaltar el papel de las vivencias humanas y sus representaciones del mundo en la ficción literaria. La segunda parte del texto analiza la novela escrita por Yasunari Kawabata sobre la ciudad de Kioto, situada en el Japón de la segunda posguerra. En dicha obra, sus personajes principales interactúan con el espacio que dibuja una ciudad cargada de tradiciones milenarias, poblada de templos, santuarios y jardines; rodeada de bosques y atravesada por ríos. En las conclusiones se rescatan los aspectos más sobresalientes relacionados con la subjetividad literaria, las texturas del espacio imaginado y una posible kinética del texto |
| English abstract | The novel's geography emphasizes on the space in drawing up literary plot. On the one hand, the present paper set out Franco Moretti's and James Kneale's thesis in order to highlight the human experience and their world representations in literary fiction. On the second hand, it analyses the Yasunari Kawabata's novel about Kioto, which is dramatized in Japan's post war period. In such work, the main characters interact with the space in a city provided by milenary traditions, plenty of temples, sanctuaries and gardens; surrounded by forests and crossing by rivers. The main conclusions recover the subjectivity, the textures by imagined space, and a hypothetical kinetics of the text |
