| Spanish abstract | La repetición causa efectos semánticos importantes tanto en el aspecto fonético como en el escrito, y estos impactos comprenden un amplio territorio. Entre estos efectos, sobresale el tema de la iconicidad en su sentido peirceano; es decir, la manera que la repetición puede funcionar como un signo icónico que exige una interpretación profunda, no sólo de los elementos reiterados, sino también de la totalidad del contexto en el que se da este fenómeno. Los efectos más llamativos de dicho recurso son la intensidad, la longitud y la función metafórica, y todos ellos poseen características icónicas diferentes; por tanto, la teoría de Deleuze respecto a ella puede considerarse como la más interesante referente a la repetición icónica |
| English abstract | Repetition causes important and extended semantic effects, referring both phonetics and writing. The question of iconicity, from Peirce’s conception, stands out among these semantic effects; this means that repetition can function as an iconic sign which expects a deep interpretation, not only of the repeated elements, but also of the context in which it appears. The most outstanding effects of repetition are intensity, length and metaphorical function, and they all possess different iconic characteristics. Deleuze’s theory of repetition can be considered the most interesting one regarding iconic repetition |
