Se propone a este texto como una línea de un debate de la cultura uruguaya, a la vez que se lo pone a dialogar con los de otros autores que, como Carlos Real de Azúa, Emir Rodríguez Monegal y Mario Benedetti, participan en él. Considerando que Ángel Rama pertenece a la generación que él denominó “crítica”, se concibe a este libro como la formulación de un relato generacional, con mucho de autobiografía intelectual |
| English abstract | The axis of this article is La generación crítica, book published by Ángel Rama in 1971, and integrated by a series of panoramic reviews of Uruguayan culture during 20th century. Rama´s book is considered as a line in the discussions in Uruguayan culture, and it is compared with the opinions of other authors such as Carlos Real de Azúa, Emir Rodríguez Monegal and Mario Benedetti. On the other hand, this paper reminds us that Ángel Rama was a member of this generation; therefore, this book is also an intellectual autobiography |
