| Spanish abstract | En este trabajo se sostiene que el silencio tiene un significado dentro del lenguaje. Reflexionamos sobre ello porque los filósofos y lingüistas prestan poca atención hacia este tema y su revalorización propuesta. Se hace un pequeño recorrido por la historia de la filosofía, para intentar desentrañar lo que (algunos) filósofos del lenguaje de la antigüedad han reflexionado directa o indirectamente sobre el silencio y sus significados. Hacemos un énfasis, en la época contemporánea, en Martin Heidegger y Ludwig Wittgenstein, quienes hicieron reflexiones sobre el particular. Sostenemos que el silencio es una fuente de comunicación humana; proponemos un lenguaje del silencio, el cual debe contar con un análisis serio |
| English abstract | This paper argues that silence has a meaning within language. This reflection is made because philosophers and linguists pay little attention to this issue and its proposed revaluation. Here, the History of Philosophy is reviewed to try to get to the bottom of what was thought and argued by some ancient philosophers, directly or indirectly, about the silence and its meanings. We focus in the contemporary era, in Martin Heidegger and Ludwig Wittgenstein, who made reflections on the subject. We hold that silence is a source of human communication; we propose a language of silence, which must have a serious analysis |
