| Spanish abstract | Este artículo tiene como fin destacar una serie monográfica publicada por la casa editorial Vda. de C. Bouret en París y México, entre 1908 y 1912, que incluye reseñas sobre Sonora, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Nuevo León, Tamaulipas, Chiapas, Veracruz y Baja California, a través de las cuales conocemos datos históricos de esas entidades y en las que observamos la importancia de la geografía, la estadística y la antropología en sus discursos. Presenta una referencia biográfica sucinta de los autores principales: Rafael de Alba, Enrique Santibáñez, León Diguet y Luis Pérez Milicua, donde se mencionan otras obras suyas y se les ubica en su contexto histórico. Asimismo, caracteriza de manera sintética cada monografía en lo referente a la información que aporta, la estructura, el estilo y otras cualidades en ellas |
| English abstract | This paper aims to highlight a monographic series published by the publishing house Vda. de C. Bouret in Paris and Mexico, between 1908 and 1912, which including reviews of Sonora, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Nuevo León, Tamaulipas, Chiapas, Veracruz and Baja California. These reviews allow us to know historical data of these states and to observe the importance of the geography, statistics and anthropology in their discourses. It presents a concise biographical reference of the main authors: Rafael de Alba, Enrique Santibáñez, León Diguet, and Luis Pérez Milicua, apart from mentioning other works and sitting them in their historical context. Besides, each monograph is characterized synthetically in regards to the information they provide, their structure, style, and other qualities in them |
